The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 is a business ultra portable, and is extremely thin. It has a back-lit keyboard and up to 8GB of ram, an Intel Core i5 and a 13 inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 which is fairly good for a screen of this size. It is also solidly built as you would expect from a Thinkpad and with those specs it will definitely look and feel up to date for a long time.
Connectivity - This Thinkpad has great connectivity features, it has a 1GBps Ethernet port and wireless A/B/G/N which you could expect but it also has built in 3G and Bluetooth. So it is great for Internet access away from the office. One thing it doesn’t have is an optical drive, but we have come to expect this now on most smaller notebook computers.
It comes with Windows 7, as you would expect, and its battery life is around 4:30 which is good for a notebook that only has a 13 inch screen so it doesn’t have a lot of space for the battery.
It is also a fairly think notebook computer, not like the Samsung Series 9 or the MacBook air but still very thin.
As you would hope, it has a suite of software perfect for business, these applications come in a suite called Lenovo Thinkvantage. The software can be really useful for migrating to a new computer, protecting your hard disk from movement and secure data disposal.
If you are a business professional and you are looking for a new, portable notebook, this computer is for you.
